Progress tracking for martial arts studios
Every student's path to the next belt, on the record.
Atlas replaces “it's in the coach's head” with a simple record of what each class covered, who was there, and how every student is getting on. Coaches spend seconds a class. Families see where they stand, without having to ask.

Attendance isn't the product. Progression is.
A gym counts visits. A martial arts studio is different: every student is working toward a stripe or a belt, and that promotion rests on time at rank, the techniques they've covered and the coach's judgement. In most small studios none of it is written down. It lives in the head coach's memory.
That costs everyone. Parents ask why another child was promoted and theirs wasn't, and there's no record to point to. Students can't see what to work on next. Coaches and owners avoid software because setting it up costs more than it saves. Atlas keeps the record for almost no effort, so the conversation about progress starts from facts.
How Atlas works
- 1
The coach writes one sentence
Before or after class, a coach types what it covered: “arm locks from guard, then positional sparring.” Atlas matches the words to techniques in the studio's own library and shows them as chips. The coach confirms, removes or adds one. When the match isn't clear, Atlas can ask an AI model for help, and still nothing is saved until the coach confirms.
- 2
Everyone who was there gets credit
Students check in by scanning the studio's code. When the class closes, every student who checked in is credited with every technique it covered. A class nobody closes closes itself at the end of the day, with the plan.
- 3
Everyone sees where they stand
Coaches see each student's time at rank, classes and skills against the studio's own requirements, as advice. Families see their belt, stripes and attendance as plain numbers, and skills in plain words: covered, working on it, coming up next.
What Atlas holds to
The coach decides
Requirements inform a promotion and never block one. Every stripe and every belt is a coach's call, and Atlas never awards, removes or changes a rank on its own.
No comparisons
No rankings, no leaderboards. A family sees their own child's record, never another child's, and families can't message each other.
Almost no effort
No menus of techniques, no student data entry, no roll call. Students enrol themselves with the studio's code, and the studio approves them.
Each studio's records stay its own
A studio's students, classes and notes are kept apart from every other studio's. Its staff see its records, and each family sees only its own children.
Atlas is built for Brazilian jiu jitsu today, with its adult and kids belt ladders. Judo and karate are coming. Adult students enrol today; parents enrolling their children is coming.
